 Designer Showcase Minimize

Ok, well I'm obviously no designer, but if I were...the VECssViewer would be my best friend. Look how easy it is for me to configure this module to visually display the different CSS Styles I can apply to my skin without spending wasted time (and space) creating unnecessary pages. The module display is CSS customizable and fully localizable, too.

Check out the settings for this page below and see how just easy it is.

Quick and Easy to Setup

This page is set up as a "Designer Showcase" so site visitor's can preview any of these CSS display items without interfering with any personalized settings user's may have already made from the (optional) configured "global" veCSSViewer.

veCSSViewer modules that are configured as a "Designer Showcase" allow site admins the ability to show off CSS files they have designed for skin files other than the one used site wide (aka the "global" veCSSViewer...you know, the one used for personalization). It also allows users, like page editors who are not administrators, the ability to utilize the module...without affecting the rest of the entire site.

In the module settings screen shot (below), the top setting (in red) is a global property and is applicable to every CSS Viewer module located within a portal. The option is only visible and available however if the logged on user is in the "Administrator" role.

This option only needs to be set one time...this is because the global setting should only be used in conjunction with a skin that is available to the entire site. You do not want users to select CSS files as their personal preference if there isn't a skin file to match, right? Right! So, if you opt to have at least one module set to "Site", every instance of any new veCSSViewer module will show "site".

In order for your CSS styles to not be allowed as a "global" or site wide preference, you simply override the setting with the "Designer Showcase Only" setting. If you do not select "Designer Showcase Only", the CSS options will be allowed for users to set for their personalization option and may not give you the desired effect.

And, well...that's pretty much it. Easy, right?
